Licensed for the door.

SIA licensed door supervisors for venues, events and late-night premises.
Two uniformed door staff stand at a grand, warmly lit hotel entrance at night, with ornate lamps either side.

What the licence means

  • It is the law

Anyone guarding licensed premises such as a pub, bar or club while it is open must hold an SIA door supervisor licence.

  • It covers guarding too

A door supervisor licence also allows the holder to work as a security guard.

  • You can check it

Every licence has a number. Anyone can check that a licence is current on the SIA's public register.
